My day at St Joes starts with teaching children in Room 1 for literacy enrichment. I then instruct children in the Intensive Reading Recovery programme, which is a reading intervention programme for six year olds. I have had a long and enjoyable association with St Joes as my children were pupils here. |
Jo Clough
I have been a Teacher Aide since 2001 and completed my Teacher Aide Certificate in 2006. I enjoy all sports and I love a challenge. I look forward to being a part of the St Joes team. |
Richard Duffy
It’s nice to be back for another year at St Joe’s. I really enjoy the atmosphere around the school with pupils, parents and staff alike. This is just my second year working in a Catholic integrated school and after not really knowing what to expect last year, I’ve found the spiritual teaching highly relevant for and capable of being related to the everyday lives of the children whom we teach. I’m looking forward to seeing our kids in their smart new sports tops that the PTFA spent so much time developing. |
Mary Fahey
I have been teaching at St Joe’s for 14 years and I love teaching the Year 2 and 3 children in Room 3.

Kia Ora, I've got an enthusiastic class of Years 1 and 2 this year. I enjoy teaching this age children as they are full of energy and spontaneity. When I am not at school I am chasing after my 3 beautiful children who keep me on my toes at home.

Diane Wright
Hi there, I’m Diane Wright a Teachers Aide here at St. Joes. I start my working day at Green Island School as Library Administrator. My three children also attend there.
I love to work with a variety of children, especially those with special needs or learning difficulties. My goal is to look for the good in everyone and develop it!
Rory O'Mahony
My name is Rory and I am a teacher aide at St. Joseph’s Cathedral School. For the last year I have been working with an amazing bunch of children. I enjoy the challenge this brings each day and all the fun we have at St Joe’s.
Denise Watt
I am taking a new entrants class four days a week, working in the library area. This is a satellite class of Room 1, which was set up mid year as a result of increasing new entrant numbers.
I enjoy working with these little people, who are just so keen to learn, and our emphasis is on literacy and numeracy. I have found St Joe’s provides a friendly and supportive environment to work in.
