Uniforms

Our school uniform is an important part of our identity as a Catholic School in Dunedin.  We take pride in our uniform and expect full uniform to be worn correctly at all times. Our school uniforms are sold at the South Dunedin Warehouse.  This store has the correct St Joseph’s Cathedral school uniform list and the staff will be able to help you find the items. We have a big range of second hand uniform items at school for sale. Please check with the office.

Boys

  • Grey shirt (long sleeves in winter and short in summer)

  • Grey shorts (school grey cotton in summer and mid grey polyester viscose in winter)

  • Grey socks (ankle socks in Terms 1 and 4, knee height in Terms 2 and 3)
     

Girls

  • White blouse (long sleeves in winter and short in summer)

  • Catholic School’s pinafore or Catholic School culottes

  • Ankle length white socks can be worn throughout the year. Navy blue tights can be worn in Terms 2 and 3

For Both

  • Royal blue regulation jersey

  • Completely black polishable footwear - not boots. Sandals (optional terms 1 & 4)

  • Navy blue cargo pants. Schooltex brand only available at The Warehouse (optional terms 2 & 3)

  • Navy or black hair ties or clips

  • If wearing thermals, they need not to be visible

  • No jewellery except one pair of stud earrings or very small sleeper - unless for cultural reasons

  • no make-up- unless for cultural reasons.
     

Sports Uniform

Both the sports top ($35) and Canterbury shorts ($30) with our school logo can be purchased from the school office.


Hats and School Jackets
Our school has a policy of sun safety. Sunhats ($20) with the our school logo can be purchased from the school office and are worn in Terms 1 and 4.  
School Jackets ($70) Beanies ( $10) are also available for purchase for the colder months. These are not compulsory uniform items.
